Spring Garden Wedding in Coral and Royal Blue Tones

Brides, Real Weddings, Wedding Theme ColorsMirela GorunComment

Unnecessary to say how endlessly happy we are when our brides share their wedding pictures with us. We love to be involved in their blissful event and see them enjoying one of the most important days of their lives.

Ashley was a gorgeous bride, radiating happiness through her entire delicate figure.

The dress, an ivory champagne V-neck with spaghetti straps, lace appliqué throughout bodice and top of the skirt, and a magnificent train was signed by Lis Simone and purchased at Ladies of Lineage - a bridal boutique in Charlotte, NC.

From The Bride

The wedding venue was Reverie Place in Randleman, NC. It’s a beautiful outdoor venue.

We chose to be married in the memorial garden, and the reception was under a pavilion right across from the garden. The only downfall is they have no indoor alternative in case of bad weather.

Our wedding was on April 7. Planning an outdoor wedding in April does risk the chance of rain. However, in North Carolina, it is typically in the 60s by April so we weren’t too concerned about it being cold.

Our wedding day was rainy and windy, and the highest temperature reached all day was in the 40s.

In terms of planning and logistics, the day was a disaster because nothing went according to plan. A tent had to be brought in to put over the garden for the ceremony. Heaters were brought in and placed under the pavilion for the reception. The sides of the pavilion were put down to hold the heat in and keep the wind from blowing runners off the tables.

I would be lying if I said I was not disappointed by the bad weather. However, in the end, we spent the day surrounded by the people we love most in the world, and we were able to marry each other. Our marriage is so much bigger than one day!

Needless to say, I was so happy and thankful you were able to get the shawl to me on such short notice. It ended up being just what I needed.

Our photographer was amazing! Since the weather was so bad, she offered to take more photos another day if we were willing to get dressed up again.

We ended up going about a month later to the place we first met. So now we have amazing photographs from the day of our wedding and even more from after.

So amazing how Ashley saw the big picture and understood that despite the fact that some aspects don’t work out as planned, other do! Her love for her husband, friends and family are so valuable that one windy day, no matter how cold it was, can’t damage her happiness.

Thank you so much, Ashley, for letting me not only design your bridal shawl but share your stunning wedding photos with everyone! I wish you a lifetime of joy and love!
